A step-by-step guide for assembling and draining your frame pool
A frame pool guarantees fun and refreshment, but setting it up can seem a little daunting. Luckily, we’ve put together a simple step-by-step guide to help make both setup and takedown as smooth as possible.
Step 1: Choose the perfect spot
Before you start, it’s important to find a flat surface where the frame pool can stand stable. Remove any rocks or debris, and avoid placing it under trees to keep leaves and dirt out of the water. Make sure the area gets enough sunlight so the water can warm up naturally.
Step 2: Prepare the surface
Lay down a groundsheet or pool tiles on the chosen spot to protect your frame pool and to double-check that the frame will fit properly.
Step 3: Sort the parts
Sort the pool tubes according to the included manual to make the assembly process easier and more organized.
Step 4: Assemble the frame and connect the filter pump
Follow the instructions to assemble the pool and connect the tubes using the click-in system. Make sure you leave enough space around the pool to move freely. If your pool comes with a filter pump, attach it with the provided hoses to help keep the water clean.
Step 5: Fill the pool
Use a garden hose to fill the pool with water. Stop once the water level reaches about 10 to 15 cm below the top edge of the frame.
Step 6: Enjoy and maintain
Time to enjoy your pool and soak up the sun. In the evening or at night, use a pool cover to keep out debris and make sure to regularly check and treat the water for safe and clean swimming.
When summer ends, it’s time to pack it up
Step 1: Drain the water
Open the valve cap and let the water drain, preferably in a spot where it can soak away easily.
Step 2: Clean the pool
Thoroughly clean the pool using water and a mild soap. Then let it dry completely in the sun to prevent mold or mildew.
Step 3: Fold and store
Carefully fold the pool and store it in a dry, winter-proof location. You can use baby powder or talcum powder to prevent the material from sticking.
With this simple plan, you’re all set to enjoy a summer full of water fun and relaxation in your own frame pool.
